The Barrhead Church
For some years now, the congregations of Arthurlie, Bourock, South and Levern, and the United Reformed Church have been engaged in a covenant, with the long term view of bringing these congregations together.
It is recognised that Barrhead can not sustain, neither in property nor in personnel terms, the existing four ministries, and that a combined force would be stronger in terms of ministry and outreach than the four individual entities.
In the meantime, we work together with joint services throughout the year, and support one another’s events.
Barrhead Church is supporting a project which originated with Bourock Church, to fund the building of a school in Kibera, one of the slum areas of Nairobi, Kenya.
We are pleased to report that the project has now started and the school should be complete by the summer.
